THE TRADITIONS THAT MADE US

crush

THE CLASSIC MARYLAND CRUSH

Nothing says Maryland quite like a classic crush. A longtime favorite across the Chesapeake, this iconic cocktail has become a staple at crab feasts, waterfront bars, and summer gatherings all along the coast

At Sue Lagoon, our crushes are more than just a cocktail. They're part of the experience. Whether you're pulling in by boat, enjoying a basket of steamed crabs, listening to live music, or watching the sun set over the creek, there's no better companion than an ice-cold crush in hand. It's a taste of Maryland that never goes out of style and a tradition we're proud to continue serving season after season

SUE ISLAND CRAB SEASONING

We're proud to bring back the original Sue Island crab seasoning, a time-honored blend that has been a local favorite for generations. Known for its bold, unmistakable flavor, this signature seasoning is what helped define Sue Island crabs and made them a staple of Chesapeake Bay seafood traditions

Each batch carries the same rich, savory character that locals have come to love over the years, honoring the tradition that has brought families, friends, and visitors together over countless crab feasts on the water

FEATURE YOUR VESSEL

For decades, dating back to the earliest days of Sue Island Grill & Crabhouse, boaters and Chesapeake Bay visitors have been part of a tradition that has become a true symbol of life on the creek

Each piece is customized by our artist with details like the boat name, captain, first mate, and any personal touches you'd like included. What started as a simple way to recognize visiting vessels has grown into a living wall of memories—each boat hand-painted as a tribute to the captains, crews, and families who have made their way here over the years

BOAT BAR BILLS

Tucked away inside Sue Lagoon, the Boat Bar has become a true waterfront tradition unlike anything else on the creek. Guests are invited to sign a dollar bill, staple it to the walls, and leave behind a piece of their visit—adding to a growing display built by boaters, locals, and visitors over the years

Over time, the walls have turned into a collection of memories, each bill representing a stop, a celebration, or a moment shared at the bar that became part of Sue Lagoon's story

Grab a drink, take part in the tradition, and add your name to the walls of the Boat Bar

WHERE THE CREEK BRINGS US TOGETHER

Sue Lagoon is more than just a waterfront spot—it's what we've built around the creek, the people, and the traditions that have grown here over the years. Sitting right on the water, we offer that true Maryland experience where you can pull up by boat or walk right in and immediately feel the laid-back energy of the lagoon.

At the heart of it all is our community. We're proud to be a place where locals, boaters, and first-time visitors all come together and feel like regulars. So many of the people who come through our doors return year after year, and that's what makes it feel like one big family built around the water.

At the end of the day, Sue Lagoon is about connection—for us, it's about the water, the people we meet, and the memories that are made here every season

DOCK

ARRIVING BY WATER?

We offer plenty of space for boat docking, making it easy to pull up and enjoy your time on the water. For the best experience, we recommend calling ahead so we can help accommodate your arrival.

Boats 24' and under may dock directly at the restaurant or use our floating pier when available. For larger vessels, Sue Island Marina can accommodate any size boat and also features a floating pier for guest access.

Docking is first come, first serve unless arrangements are made in advance—so calling ahead is always encouraged to ensure we can get you tied up and ready to enjoy your visit
